Rapper DMX begins 90-day jail sentence in LA
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- An functionary says rapper DMX has turned himself in at a courthouse to make a ~ning serving a 90-day jail sentence for a 2002 case.
Los Angeles City Attorney speaker Frank Mateljan (mah-TEHL'-jin) says the 39-year-old rapper turned himself in Monday afternoon. The passed on a criminal stems from a probation violation on a 2002 reckless driving settled belief.
Mateljan says the judge ruled that the rapper cannot be freed in c~tinuance electronic monitoring, work release or home detention.
DMX's real person is Earl Simmons. He has been repeatedly arrested and jailed in the bygone time decade, recently serving a sentence in an Arizona jail for violating trial by failing a drug test.
A representative for the rapper could not without any intervention be reached Monday, and it was unclear if he was represented ~ the agency of an attorney in court.
